If you guys want a really clean install, you can use your horn switch to activate the opener. Your neighbors will think you have some wacky horn operated garage door though.

so i need a hand, i tried to solder 2 wires on (14g) and i found out i suck at it. its just like auto wire you can get a checkers. and the other thing can some one help me out if where i should put the wires on. sorry for the crappy picture.

^what model is that garage door opener? If I can find a schematic online I'd be better able to assist. Or better yet take a picture of both sides of the board with a better camera and I can do it that way.

its a lift master (from what i was told the same as chamberlain) the remote is a 953CHB




sorry my wife took the camera to AZ.

Depending on which switch is the garage button follow the schematic accordingly. These should be the correct leads from what I can tell from the photos. Just to be sure, once you solder the wires on there touch the other ends of the wires together (make sure your remote control battery is installed) and see if that opens/closes your garage.

now is the 14g copper wire to big should i get some 22g AWG wire?
