HA HA before I went to the darkside (became an officer) I was a Sergeant and I was an electronics tech for the Avenger missile system.

Thanks everyone for the props. As I delve more and more into my bike I and do more mods I will add those how-to's as well

I had this on my 07 and will be putting it on my 08 here soon, so maybe I'll take pics as I go along and make a how-to.

Good job to the OP. There's a few different ways to go about doing this, so I'm just mentioning one of the alternatives.

Carry on...

Thanks It's great to get different ways to do the same thing. It gives everyone options on how to do it.

Your remote is waterproof?

I'm asking because I wash my bike every two rides and I'm wondering if you got any problem with the water on the remote?

It's not waterproof, but it's behind the gauge cluster and windscreen. I've washed my bike three times so far and no problems. I guess you could wrap that bad boy in electical tape or put it in a ziploc bag and tape that up. There's probably plenty of ways to waterproof it. Don't think it should be a problem.
